Detlev Martitsch Kreiner

Detlev (Ted) has been Restaurant Solutions Executive Chef since 1997. He was born in Austria and worked his way through 18 countries before arriving in the US in 1972. From 1972 to 1974 he held the position of Chef de Poisson at the famed 21 Club in NYC. From there Ted accepted the first of his many Executive Chef positions at the Francis Tavern on Wall Street. He migrated from there to become Executive Chef of one of NY’s most acclaimed restaurants the Sign of the Dove. From there he was courted by Resorts International the first and largest Casino in Atlantic City. During this period Ted traveled back to Austria to complete the final test of a chefs career, ten grueling days that would earn him the coveted title of European Certified Master Chef. Today there are approximately 70 US chefs that have earned this designation.

Ted left Resorts International to move to the Austrian like hills of Vermont where he met Peter Ryan, President of Restaurant Solutions. He partnered with Peter for three years in a variety of restaurants before returning to NY to sit at the helm of the single largest grossing independent restaurant in the US, Tavern On The Green in Central Park. Ted rejoined his old friend Peter Ryan in South Carolina in 1997, and has been responsible for overseeing most of the restaurant contracts performed by the company since his return.
