Restaurant Solutions is sensitive to this reality, and we therefore work closely with new restaurant operators to support them in bringing their dream to life. Our collective experience as both restaurant owners and consultants affords us the ability to assess the feasibility of your concept, and to create realistic assumptions in the areas where the battle is won or lost: your projected sales, food cost and associated labor.

Concept and Menu Development
Whether the concept is fine dining or quick casual, starting a new restaurant or revitalizing an existing one; our team of chef consultants will work with you to identify and create a winning concept and menu for your restaurant. We will cost all recipes, determine the best cooking procedures, produce plating and garnish standards, provide photographs for training and portion controls, and will provide you with all the information in an easily manageable data base for future editing, revision and ingredient & price updates. We will also suggest individual item menu prices based on competitive prices from your local market, as well as food cost targets developed from your labor profile and fixed expenses.

Architectural & Kitchen Design Services
Our in-house design services, especially kitchen design, are inextricably linked to the concept and menu that is selected. Restaurant Solutions provides all architectural kitchen layout and design, equipment specifications, mechanical drawings (plumbing/electrical/hood & Ansul), metal fabrication and any other technical elements necessary for your general contractor. Our staff AIA Architect can also provide Interior and Exterior Architectural design services on an as needed basis.

Real Estate Site Criteria, Location Assessment and Lease Negotiation
If you have not yet located or secured a location for your new restaurant, are seeking an additional site, or a planning to roll-out a multi-unit concept, then we can support you in developing concept specific site criteria, locating a suitable location and negotiating a favorable long term lease which maximizes landlord contributions to leasehold improvements.

Restaurant Marketing Services
After Operations and Finance, you have the third leg of the triangle, Marketing. It manages effective market research, turning reliable data into actionable strategies and tactics. Marketing directs all communication techniques and vehicles, from 'brand positioning' to advertising, media, menu communication, PR, promotion, direct marketing and Neighborhood Marketing.

Restaurant Solutions places great emphasis on the importance of training your staff (both kitchen and front of house) as well as developing your management team to perform in a way that is consistent with both your financial goals and to create a stable restaurant environment where your entire staff is empowered to perform at their peak. To this end Restaurant Solutions provides Hiring and Administrative procedures to guide you, creates customized operations manuals to support you, and perhaps most importantly offers on site support to coordinate and implement the entire process.

Implement (or Improve Existing) Restaurant Financial & Management Controls
No matter how brilliant the concept, no matter how exquisite the food or how attentive the staff, no restaurant will achieve long term success without a solid system of financial and management controls in place. Remember, you are in business to make money, and the profit margins in this business are thin. From "day one" you need to establish an integrated set of controls to insure that your Prime Costs (food and gross labor) are going to be in line with sales.

These controls begin with your POS system and the specific information that it is programmed to report. From there we develop ordering/inventory systems and controls, procedures to "engineer" your menu to produce maximum gross margins, methods to optimally schedule every labor hour of each day to produce labor costs in line with projected sales, and simple systems to track and record daily and week-to-date sales, labor and purchases. These reports enable management to proactively manage your business now and not next month when the profit and loss statement for the prior month is completed.

Restaurant Solutions also provides full accounting and computer support; from selecting, installing and setting up an appropriate accounting software application for your operation to a complete training program for designated management who will assume day to day financial responsibilities. We also provide computer network and IT support for more sophisticated financial operations as well as for multi-unit organizations.

We step into your operation, roll up our sleeves and take charge of the entire process; from concept and menu creation to being your management staff prior to and after the restaurant opening. Short and Long Term Restaurant Management Contracts
Our on-going management services have been most often utilized in our Golf Facilities projects. After providing Turn-Key Restaurant Creation Services, we can offer clients both short and long term contracts to manage the facility on your behalf. Fees for this service can be fixed or performance based. Either way, Restaurant Solutions provides the Management team to operate your restaurant, and takes the management burden off of your shoulders.
